Not Just For The Dock
The technology behind the Dock Disk also has the ability to be customized for many applications including water intake systems both large and small.
Project summery:
An aggregate company outside of Columbus, Ohio had issues with zebra mussels building up on the protective grates surrounding the water intake pump lines. After consulting with the individuals in charge of the equipment, a plan was devised for a dive team to go in and document and clean the grates and then strategically deploy the Dock Disks to create a protective mussel free zone. The video’s show the before cleaning, after cleaning and deployment of the Dock Disks and finally the conditions after six months.
Underwater Services, LTD performed the dives.
In the first video you will see the screens before cleaning that have zebra mussels covering them. The second video shows the cleaned screens and the deployed Dock Disks. The final video shows the screens six months after deployment free from zebra mussels.

Endorsement by Underwater Services Ltd.
Underwater Services is impressed with the results of the use of the mussel repellent disc. As a Dive company, we have seen the issues and problems that zebra mussels can cause. We believe that this product has the potential to assist other industrial facilities that are dealing with problems caused by mussels. The product installation, if completed correctly, is a simple procedure once the initial inspection and cleaning of the Intake Screens are complete. Scott & Bill with Underwater Services of WV USA
